Mothers day is here once again and my thoughts are filled again on how its really a thankless job being a homemaker, a mom and a wife. My time was more appreciated when I held a job and rushed home from work and juggled between getting dinner ready and helping the lil miss get her homework done. My time was sparse and every minute of it was well spent and it was well appreciated too. Now its just oh can you get this done too coz its not like you have anywhere to go or do.
And it does not matter that the dishes and laundry are always done, there are 3 course meals served, the beds are always made and the pooch is fed, bathed and taken out for walks with no help, not to mention the endless buttons sewn, clothes that get magically ironed and help with research papers :(
It was always my mom who had to help us with our homework assignments, manage the finances and the household chores and be present at our school plays and recitals. It was always her kissing our booboo's and listening to us rant. My dad was not an absentee dad, but he never knew what we were up to, let alone sign our report cards.
So this mothers day thank the selfless soul that does all those thankless job.
Thank her for being up late at nights
Thank her for the hot meals
Thank her for the laundered clothes
Thank her for chauffeuring you around
Thank her for arranging and re-arranging your stuff neatly
Thank her for the smiles and encouragement
Thank her for taking care of you and yours whether you were sick or just needed someone to talk to
Thank her for caring enough and enforcing the rules and curfew
Thank her for being there no matter what
Thank her for those extra special hugs
Thank her above all for making you what you are -- YOU.
Tip of the day
Say I love you to your loved ones. Even if they know you do love them, its quite something else actually hearing you say it to them.

Red !!
should we thank our moms only on this day ? is it really justified ?
Moms are always special to any human and it is a curse to remember their sacrifices only on this day.....they deserve our life times rememberance

Red : I have always been a working mom but I have heard stories from stay at mom's about how hard it is and the thing that bothers them the most is being taken for granted and the attitude that she has all the time in the world.
